Sino-foreign Shipping Heavy Articles "Great Nation Craftsman Studio" visits Chuji Logistics for a discussion
On March 20, 2025, Mr. Li Xingju, the leading expert of the "Great Nation Craftsmen Studio" of China International Shipping & Trading (CITIC), visited Chuji Logistics. Chairman Li Qigang, Project Manager Ning Jing, and Huang Hongxia participated in the discussion and exchange. CITIC Heavy Lift and Chuji Logistics share a common identity, being the Director and Deputy Director units of the Shanghai Representative Office of the China Water Conservancy and Electric Power Materials Circulation Association. Under the coordination of CITIC as the Director unit, they aim to provide a sense of security and stability for the needs of heavy lift member enterprises in Shanghai. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the advancement of heavy lift industry association work, the establishment of industry standards, heavy lift logistics technology exchange, and the opportunities and challenges brought by the new quality productive forces of the current era. The goal is to deepen exchanges, jointly plan development, and inject new vitality into the high-quality development of the industry.
Both parties reviewed the history of the cooperation and participation in large-scale projects between Chuji Logistics and China International Transportation Corporation (CITIC) East China since its establishment in 2003, as well as the company's gradual growth and transformation. They gained an in-depth understanding of Chuji Logistics' main business areas, which include heavy件 transportation, multimodal transportation, and engineering logistics. They also learned about Chuji Logistics listing on the "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative Board" of the Shanghai Stock Exchange Center. The industry's development and the cooperation and contributions of CITIC were highly recognized. Director General Li Qigang commended CITIC's leading role in China's economic construction as a central enterprise and its responsibility and outstanding capabilities in transporting major national projects and heavy engineering equipment, which are worth learning from by all heavy件 logistics companies.
Mr. Li Xingju introduced in detail the active contributions of the Water Conservancy and Electric Power Materials Circulation Association in recent years in standardization and talent cultivation. He pointed out that China International Logistics Group (CIL) Heavy and Enterprises have promoted the standardization of heavy transportation technology specifications, safe operation guidelines, and other standardized construction, proposing unified operation procedures for multimodal transportation of oversized equipment. Meanwhile, to address safety hazards in heavy transportation, the association will establish an industry risk database and promote the application of intelligent monitoring equipment (such as weight monitoring systems, SARSPIN precise lifting technology). It is worth mentioning that CIL Heavy, as the head unit of the Water Conservancy and Electric Power Materials Circulation Association in Shanghai, uses the "Li Xingju National Craftsmanship Studio" as a platform to welcome member units to cultivate more talents in heavy transportation through technical training, case studies, and other methods.
Mr. Li Xingju listened to the case study and company introduction from Supply Chain Manager Huang Hongxia, combining the characteristics of Chuji Logistics. Chuji Logistics is deeply involved in engineering projects along the "Belt and Road" initiative, utilizing its own advantages in the mature logistics extension network in ASEAN countries to undertake more overseas power and complete equipment transportation projects. Additionally, both parties will explore topics in emerging fields such as nuclear power and offshore wind, forming complementary advantages with leading enterprises.
This exchange marks the leap from "point-to-point cooperation" to "ecological co-construction" between the industry association and private enterprises. As Mr. Li Xingju said: "The future of heavy logistics requires the 'millimeter-level' dedication of craftsmanship spirit, as well as the 'ten-thousand-ton-level' collaboration between enterprises." Chairman Li Qigang of Chuji Logistics stated that they will actively implement and advance the work of the visit, promoting technological innovation and a positive mindset to foster open cooperation and help "heavy national treasures" reach the world. Both sides will complement their strengths, enhance technical exchanges, and jointly write a new chapter in the heavy logistics industry.
