The "14th Five-Year Plan" Modern Logistics Development Plan (referred to as the Plan) was officially released, and the planning period is until 2025. This is also China's first five-year logistics plan, the plan points out that modern logistics is an important support for extending the industrial chain, upgrading the value chain, and building a supply chain, positioning it as a leading, basic and strategic industry, giving modern logistics a new mission in the process of Chinese-style modernization, planning focus, making up for shortcomings, promoting transformation, strengthening the foundation, and drawing a grand blueprint for high-quality development of logistics in an all-round way.

China is the world's largest logistics market. In 2021, the total amount of social logistics exceeded 330 trillion yuan, and the freight volume, cargo turnover, and express delivery business volume ranked among the top in the world. He said that the plan pays more attention to and gives full play to the leading role of modern logistics, creates low-cost and high-efficiency logistics conditions suitable for industrial development, and supports and promotes industrial layout adjustment, factor allocation optimization, and development model innovation. Plan innovative ideas to cultivate and develop hub economy and channel economy, and promote the mutual development and benign interaction between modern logistics and regional economy.

The plan proposes to build a "four horizontal, five vertical, two along and ten corridors" logistics channel with close domestic and international connections, efficient aggregation of logistics elements, and large-scale operation services. Zhang Jiangbo said that nine "four horizontal and five vertical" domestic logistics channels connecting the east, central and western regions and connecting the north and south will be built internally, and the comprehensive logistics service capabilities and large-scale operation efficiency of relevant urban agglomerations and port cities will be improved; Build "two along the two corridors and ten corridors" international logistics corridors, including coastal and border logistics corridors and 10 international logistics corridors, docking with the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), etc., strengthen the radiation capacity of diversified international logistics channels for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", and lay a solid foundation for building a new development pattern.
